Open Call for Authors: Dog Short Stories

Deadline January 5, 2026

Short stories (fiction and nonfiction) with a focus on the importance and vital companionship of dogs for inclusion in a new edition of "For You, Love, Dog" anthology. 250 to 1000 words. All proceeds from this anthology are donated to dog-focused 501(c)(3) charities. All contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the book and retain the rights to their work. Open Call for Authors: Super Heroes Stories

Deadline January 5, 2026

Fictional short stories that star a differently-abled or disabled individual as a super hero or someone whose disability provides them an exceptional skill for a new deluxe edition of "Super: Unexpected Heroes Arise." 3000 to 9000 words. All proceeds from this anthology are donated to 501(c)(3) charities that serve disabled and differently-able individuals. Open Call for Authors: Horror & Surreal Short Stories

Deadline January 5, 2026

Fictional horror, surrealist, and otherwise unsettling stories for our annual "Unnerving" anthology. 3000 to 9000 words with a zenith theme (a time at which something is the most powerful). All proceeds from this anthology are donated to a 501(c)(3) charity chosen by the final contributors. Open Call for Authors: Women's Experiences

Deadline January 5, 2026

Nonfiction focused on women's lived experiences. Essays, stories, and poetry are all welcome if nonfiction. Up to ten poems can be submitted together. Stories and essays should be between 500 and 9000 words. All proceeds from this anthology are donated to a 501(c)(3) charities focused on women's safety.
